Simple or extensive

In Testersuite it is possible to run tests (test runs) in two different ways. This can be done through the test runs in the module test execution (extended view) or through the simplified screen of tests (simple view). The simple view is particularly suitable for business testers.

A user can set their own preferred way of running tests. When a user clicks on "Data and Settings" under their name, at the top right of the screen, the screen for the user's settings opens. The setting is located under Preferences.

Here you can set which way of running tests is preferred. This setting determines in two places whether a user is directed to the simple- or the extended way of running tests:

  1. In the mail that a user receives when it is their turn to run a test. This mail contains a hyperlink to the test run to be performed.
  2. In a defect that belongs to a test run and can be retested. At the top right of defect is the action button defect retesting in test run
