Workflow

The workflow functionality in Testersuite is intended to inform and trigger the persons involved to take action within the defects procedure. By default, the following events are automatically sent an defect by mail:

  1. A defect will have the status In treatment and a clinician has been entered. When the data is saved, the defect is sent to the practitioner.
  2. A defect is given the status Retest ánd a tester is entered. When saving the data, the defect is sent to the tester.

Mail envelopeIn the defects procedure is indicated with an envelope icon at which times a defect is automatically sent.

Workflow settings
In your user data - accessed by clicking on your name in the Program bar - you can adjust the following settings:

  • Send: when this checkbox is on then defects, in response to the events described above, will be sent by you automatically.
  • Send me a copy: if this checkbox is checked then you will always receive a copy (cc) of the mail automatically sent by you.
  • Forward to: for defects that is automatically sent to you the email address in your user data is used by default. If you want to forward the defects (temporarily) to another email address you can enter that email address here.

Icon ExplanationThe history of a defect records the times when the defect was sent (date/time, sent by, sent to).


Icon - Attention!If in your user data you do not have a tab Settings then the workflow functionality is disabled. The Testersuite administrator within your organization can enable this functionality.
