My dashboard

On your dashboard, you can always keep track of the information from the Test cycles you are interested in via charts. Click on a measuring point in a graph to go to the relevant parts in Testersuite. By default, the dashboard gives you insight through four different charts:

  • defects by status, by priority
  • Test run test cases by output status
  • Test runs by state
  • Products by status

You can choose for which Test cycle(s) you want to see this information. This can be just one, or multiple Test cycles at once. You can choose to show the graphs for:

  • Only the current Test cycle. If you choose this, the data in the graphs will change with the Test cycle you select in the main menu
  • Only Test cycles in which you are a participant
  • Only Test cycles you are test manager of
  • A self-assembled list of Test cycles

You adjust the choice at the top of the dashboard:

When you make the choice to view the charts for multiple Test cycles at once, the option "View by Test cycle " appears for each chart. Click this to see the graphs per Test cycle:

A pop up appears with the charts by Test cycle:

From here you can click through the charts to the relevant sections in the respective Test cycle.

Add new charts
It is possible to add new charts by using the '+' button at the top of the dashboard:

In the pop up that appears, choose what you want to show in the graph. You can always change this:

  • For which Testersuite component do you want to create a chart?
  • For which field do you want to create the graph? You can base a graph on up to two different fields per item. Custom fields can also be chosen.
  • Choose the type of graph you want to see: a bar graph and a pie graph. A graph based on two fields will default to a bar graph.

Click 'Create Graph' to add the graph to your dashboard:

Favorite charts
Hover over a chart to "favorite" it:

Your favorite charts appear at the top of your dashboard. You can also change the order of your favorite charts by dragging and dropping them.

Other options for graphs
In addition to favoriting graphs, you can also edit, delete, or change how the graph is displayed. You do this using the menu at the top right of a chart:
