Managing content in the Masterlist

The Master List contains products, requirements, test cases and test scenarios that can be used in Test cycles . Users with the role Masterlist Manager can open the Masterlist by pressing in the Program bar. In the overview of the Masterlist you will find the 'tree' of products and requirements. In addition, the Master List contains the Products & Requirements module and the Test Design module.


Icon Explanation

The test results (test runs and defects) are in the Test cycles and not in the Masterlist. Hence, the test execution and Reports modules do not appear in the Masterlist.


In the Masterlist, just like in Test cycles, you can maintain the entities product, requirement, test case and test scenario. One difference with Test cycles is that in the Masterlist the entities mentioned have a Versions tab. In this tab you can see in which Test cycles an entity appears. For example, when you open a test case you will see the Versions tab on the far right.

This tab contains a list of Test cycles where the test case appears. You can open a version of a test case by clicking on the corresponding line. At that moment, the test case from the corresponding Test cycle is opened in a lightbox. You can overwrite the test case in the Masterlist with the version from Test cycle if you wish. To do so, click on the Use this version button at the bottom right.

After confirmation, the Masterlist test case is overwritten by the version from the Test cycle. Including all attachments and comment lines. In the Versions tab, a masterlist icon indicates which version the Masterlist test case was last overwritten with:


Icon Explanation

When products or requirements are in not locked Test cycles occur then that is indicated in the 'tree' of the Masterlist with a  icon. This shows you that these products and requirements are in use.
