Copying products / requirements

To quickly create new products or requirements it is possible to copy existing products or requirements. The copy function is located in the list of products and in the list of requirements. There the copying works as follows:

  • Select the product or requirement you want to copy (by checking the checkbox for it).
  • Then click the Copy function button at the bottom of the list screen.
  • The copied product or requirement is opened and Copy is added for the short description.
  • When Cancel is clicked directly then the copy is deleted again. When saving, the copy is saved.

When copying products and requirements, the detail data and attachments are copied. Comment lines and history are not copied.

It is also possible to copy a product or requirement when you are in the tree. When you select a product or requirement in the tree, you can use the copy action button  make a copy.
