Release 23/06/2020

In addition to fixing a number of bugs, this release includes an improvement in functionality for mailing test runs.

Testers are notified by email when they need to run tests in test runs. This applies to test runs that are scheduled to run (test runs that have a start date). When a start date is entered in a test run then an email is sent to the tester(s) in the test run. This will consider whether the order of the test cases in the test run should be followed or not:

  1. Keep order is on in the test run: send an email to the tester who should start (the tester who should run the first test case in the test run)
  2. Keep order is off in the test run: send an email to all testers in the test run

It is possible to set the start date to today for multiple test runs simultaneously. This can be done in the list of test runs with the Mass Change function. At that point, all testers will be informed and a tester may receive multiple emails at the same time. For each test run where the tester needs to run tests, the tester will receive one email. In this release, a feature has been added that ensures that in this situation, the tester receives one email containing a summary of the test runs to be performed.

This new feature is on by default. If desired, this new feature can be turned off in customizing in Testersuite (in the Testrun tab):

In the upcoming release, the same feature will be added for automatically emailing defects and requirements.
