Release 04/09/2024

In addition to fixing a number of bugs, a completely new out-of-the-box interface with Azure DevOps has become available in this release. Furthermore, we added a new feature to test runs to make running test cases easier for testers.

Link to Azure DevOps
The out-of-the-box link between Testersuite and Azure DevOps makes it possible to port defects to Azure DevOps. This allows testers in Testersuite defects to capture and developers in Azure Devops to resolve the defects . A detailed explanation of how it works and instructions for configuring the link can be found here.

Set test cases to OK at once
It has long been a desire of many Testersuite users to have fewer clicks when running test cases in test runs. When a test case has many test steps it can be quite a lot of work to go through all of them. This is of course best but not always necessary. In this release we have made it possible to set test cases to OK at once without executing the separate test steps. For this purpose, a button has been added behind each test case, to the left of the 'Perform Steps' button.

When this new button is clicked, all steps of the test case with the status Not Performed get the status OK. This automatically gives the test case the status OK. The tester is asked to confirm this:

The function to set the test case to OK at once is disabled in some situations. This is the case if a test case has steps with status Not OK and/or if there are steps with open defects. When these steps have been given the status Ok (or Skipped) and there are no more open defects then the function becomes available again.

If you do not want testers to be able to give the test cases the status OK at once without executing the separate test steps then you can disable the feature. You can do this in customization within the Test Run tab:
