The Details tab contains the detail data of an entity (defect, test case, requirement etc.). Each entity has its own specific data that is displayed on this tab. These are the default fields in Testersuite but these can also be custom fields added by an administrator. In any case, the Details tab always contains the following fields:
- ID = a unique number automatically generated
- Short Description
- Long Description
If you want to change the data you can click the blue Modify button at the bottom of the tab. A required field is indicated by a * sign after the field name. When a user has made changes and clicks the Save button then the application will check if all required fields are filled in. If this is not the case then the application will report this.
The fields affected by the error message are colored red:
Fill in the missing data and click Save again.
