Testersuite modules

Testersuite is composed of a number of modules. The following figure shows the relationship between the different modules.

Test cycles
In Testersuite testing activities are performed in Test cycles. Test cycles are created to test in complex projects but also for testing changes in a management situation are created in Testersuite Test cycles .

Products and Requirements.
Products are the applications and/or processes being tested in a Test cycle . In Testersuite it is possible to set up a hierarchy of products. In fact, this is a representation of the scope of a Test cycle. The requirements for the products can be defined in the form of requirements. Think of user stories or changes. To manage the requirements, the developer, priority and status, among others, are recorded. To test the products and requirements, test cases are created in the Test Design module.

Test Design
Designing (specifying) tests takes place in the Test Design module. Testersuite has two different types of tests: test cases for detailed testing of system components and test scenarios for testing (end-to-end) processes. The level of detail of tests is entirely up to you in Testersuite .

test execution
In the test execution module, a test coordinator copies the test cases and test scenarios designed into so-called test runs. This indicates the order in which the tests are to be executed. The test runs are scheduled and assigned to testers to perform them. The testers record the results in the test runs and directly create defects where necessary.

defects
In this module the (test)defects are recorded and managed. defects can be created directly during the execution of test runs. The advantage is that all context information about the executed test is recorded in the defect . Developers can therefore quickly resolve defects . In addition, it is possible to create separate defects . Status, priority, screen prints and link to product or requirement are standard components of a defect.

Reports
The Reporting module provides insight into the progress of the test activities and the test coverage of the products and requirements in Test cycle. Testersuite contains standard reports on requirements, test design, test execution and defects. Reporting per risk class and per product or requirement provides insight into the status of the Test cycle so that immediate adjustments can be made where necessary. You can also create your own reports in addition to the standard reports. To inform stakeholders, the reports are easy to print or export.
