In addition to fixing a number of bugs and minor improvements, the following new functionality becomes available in this release:
Test step automatically to OK when closing defect
When a defect belonging to a test run gets the status Retest then the intention is that the test step this defect belongs to is executed again in the test run. This can be done by using the action button defect retest in test run.
In practice it appears that a defect is often set to Solved without the corresponding test step in the test run being set to OK. This causes test steps to keep the Not OK status without justification. From this release onwards, when a defect gets a closed status, it will be checked whether it is the last defect at the corresponding test step in the test run. If this is the case then the corresponding test step is automatically set to OK. This is reported to the user when saving the defect.
This new feature also works when using Mass Change to give multiple defects a closed status at the same time.
By default, defects is closed when it reaches the status Resolved or Rejected get. An administrator can set in the customization which statuses close a defect .
