Run test runs from the Test Basis

Setting up a test run with test cases for a specific product or requirement is very easy. When you open a product or a requirement in the Test Basis module, you’ll see the“Create New Test Run” button in the top-right corner:

This button allows you to create a new test run immediately for the product or requirement you are currently viewing. All test cases in the newly created test run will be linked to the product or requirement in question during the test execution. Here’s how it works:

  • Click the "Create New Test Run" button in the upper-right corner of the product or requirement
  • The pop-up for selecting test cases appears. Here, you can select the test cases you want to include in the test run. Of course, you can also filter and sort the results to find the test cases you want:
  • Click "Confirm"
  • The screen for creating the test run appears. Here, you can configure the desired fields and properties for the test run you are creating. The long description, short description, and any attachments are automatically populated from the relevant product or requirement:
  • Click "Save." The test run will be created. You will be taken to the newly created test run, where the selected test cases are ready for the product or requirement in question.

Create test runs for multiple products or requirements
The above functionality is also available from the list of products or requirements:

  • Select the products or requirements for which you want to create test runs
  • Click the"Run Test Runs"button:
  • You will see the pop-up for selecting test cases. Choose the test cases you want to include in the test runs for the selected products or requirements, and confirm your selection
  • The screen for creating test runs will appear. The settings you adjust here will apply to all test runs that are created

When you click "Save," a test run is created for each selected product or requirement in the list, containing the chosen test cases. Within each test run, the test cases are linked to the relevant product or requirement.
