With this release, the following new features are now available in Testersuite:
Expansion of default values for user and group fields
In Customizing, you can set a default value for fields of the types “User Field” and “User and Group Field.” Previously, only the value “Current User” was available here.
This new feature expands the existing functionality. It now allows you to select a value from a user field of a related Testersuite . When creating a new Testersuite , the name or group from the related Testersuite is automatically entered into the field by default.
For example:
- By default, the "Handler" field for a defect populated with the "Owner" of the parent product
- By default, the "Default Tester" field in a test case is populated with the "Tester" from the parent requirement
- By default, the "Treating Physician" field for a defect the value from the "Default Treating Physician" custom field in the Test cycle
This can be fully configured using the user fields and user and group fields in Customizing.
