Informing testers

Once you have created your test runs, there are several ways to inform the responsible testers of the tests they are to perform.

Notify based on start and end dates
The start and end dates of a test run determine when your testers receive notification about the tests they need to run. A user with the role administrator can adjust these settings in customizing. This will cause Testersuite to automatically email the responsible testers at the desired time. You can find more explanation on this page under the heading Automatic emailing of tests to be run (test runs).

Via comments
When youadd comments to a test run in Testersuite , with this all testers within the test run will receive an email with these comments. This allows you to inform all testers within a test run at once about, for example, a work instruction, or a recent change in the testing process.

Using the change mass function, it is possible to add the same comment to multiple test runs at the same time. This way, you can provide all testers involved in multiple test runs with the desired information at once or notify them that they can start testing. The mail the testers receive contains hyperlinks to the test runs in which you put the comments. This allows the testers to start running their test directly from the mail.

Manage Email Notifications by User
If you want to (temporarily) disable email notifications for a user with respect to running tests in test runs you can disable this in the Email Notifications tab in the user settings in the admin portal. The user can also manage these settings themselves through their own data and settings.

The notifications are sent to the user's default E-mail address. If you want to forward the mails (temporarily) then an E-mail address can be entered in the Forward to field for that purpose .
